چکیده
High-quality surface reconstruction of scanned physical objects using CAD or polygonal modeling packages represents a time consuming manual process. So far none of the fully automatic approaches to reconstruct free-from surfaces have lead to satisfying results that can compete with manually created objects based on traditional modeling techniques and most importantly an artist’s experience. In this theses a plug-in for Autodesk Maya will be presented that utilizes a new semi-automatic approach that is firstly easy to handle for beginners and versatile enough for professionals to create high-quality low-to-mid quad count meshes in a very short time.
